Ken Butler, A.C.P.
Ken Butler, Academy Certified Polygraphist (A.C.P.), has been conducting polygraph examinations for over 12 years as the chief polygraphist for a large police department in northeastern Ohio. Ken has conducted evidentiary polygraph examinations and is qualified as an Expert in Common Pleas Court. Several law enforcement agencies have benefited from his polygraph exams conducted for court purposes, law-enforcement investigations and pre-employment background investigations.
He began his career in law-enforcement in 1989 after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps. He has worked in all phases of law-enforcement as a patrolman, detective, SWAT Team-Leader and police supervisor. During his career, he has also worked special assignments with both the F.B.I. and The Ohio Ethics Commission.
Ken is a graduate of the National Training Center of Polygraph Science in New York. He continued his education to earn polygraph certifications from both the OAPE and the AAPP. He is a member of the American Association of Police Polygraphist and the current President of the Ohio Association of Polygraph Examiners.
Ken has given polygraph presentations for various agencies upon request and has provided training for the Akron Police Department, Summit County Prosecutors Office, and the Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation (BCI&I).
